World and Sky Rooms

Our large, self-contained nursery rooms are bright and welcoming, and specifically designed for your child's comfort, security and enjoyment.

The World and Sky Rooms (rising 3's - 5 year olds)

Toys and Equipment World and Ocean rooms

On joining either of the rooms, your child will be offered a range of materials and activities that are unique to the Montessori classroom. They are specifically designed to help them develop through use of all their senses. These activities cover a broad spectrum that includes practical skills, co-ordination, sensorial, mathematics, geography, music, nature, language, science, history, culture and art & crafts.

We provide an environment that will help your child to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Children help themselves to snack at any time during the day - they serve themselves and their friends and tidy up afterwards. Snack consists of fruit, crackers or toast and drinks such as freshly squeezed orange juice (the children prepare this), milk and water. Direct access to the gardens ensure as much outside time as possible, regardless of the weather! Outside activities include gardening, nature walks and parachute games, and equipment such as balancing beams, a climbing frame and tricycles are provided for the development of large motor skills.

We embrace the Early Years Foundation Stage framework 2014.

"We will never be able to express how much Colourbox Montessori, and especially our son's teacher, have meant to us all as a family. Thanks to your constant efforts Aidan is well prepared for school and for future learning"

"Our daughter chooses to go to Colourbox over having a day off - giving us reassurance about the decision we made over 3 years ago when she first started. Her primary school has a huge act to follow! We will be very sad to move on but we do so knowing that Gabriella has the background to do well. Thank you Colourbox!"

Rebecca Wilson

"Having started in The Nest right through to The Ocean room we are genuinely sad to be at the end of Archie's Colourbox journey. We knew nothing about Montessori at first, but we couldn't be more thrilled with the amazing start that it has given him."
